Ole Kirk Christiansen

Ole Kirk Christiansen ( born April 7, 1891 in Filskov in Billund, † March 11, 1958 in Billund) was a Danish cabinetmaker and toy makers. He co-founded the company with his son Godtfred Lego and was the inventor of Lego bricks.

He began in 1932 with wooden building blocks. In 1949 he made ​​the first Lego bricks made ​​of plastic. Then handed his son on July 28, 1958 his design of the new Lego brick one, so this date is considered the birthday of the Lego bricks.
