Oleksandr Hladkyy

Olexandr Mykolaiowytsch Hladkyj (Ukrainian Олександр Миколайович Гладкий; born August 24, 1987 in Losowa, Kharkiv Oblast ) is a Ukrainian football player.

Career

Hladkyjs first club Metalist Kharkiv station was in 2004, the football school he attended in his youth. In 2005 he moved to local rivals FK Kharkiv and conquered under coach Volodymyr Bessonov a regular place. In the season 2006/ 07 he was in the first Ukrainian Premier League with 13 goals scorer. Then Shakhtar Donetsk became aware of him and took him under contract at the end of the season for € 2.5 million transfer. In his first season at Shakhtar, he almost accomplished the feat to be top scorer of the Ukrainian Premier League, which no one previously managed in two consecutive seasons. Only Marko Devic of Metal List Kharkiv was able to achieve two goals more this season. On 17 August 2010 he signed a contract with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

His international debut for the Ukrainian national football team he was on 22 August 2007 in a friendly match against Uzbekistan, in which he scored the first goal.
