Olga Oelkers

Olga Oelkers, later Caragioff, ( born May 21, 1887 † January 10, 1969 ) was a German fencer.

Olga Oelkers fought for the fencing club Offenbach. 1928 won two foil fencers fencing clubs of Offenbach at German Championships: Helene Mayer won at the championship of the German Fencing Federation ( DFB); Olga Oelkers triumphed in the championship of the German Gymnastics Federation ( DTB). Together with Erna Sondheim drove the two fencers to the Olympic Games in Amsterdam. There Helene Mayer won the gold medal, Olga Oelkers received bronze and Erna Sondheim took fourth place. After this victory was portrayed Olga Oelkers by Karl Friedrich Lippmann, the image remains applicable sale in antique shops as missing.

1930, 1932 and 1933 Olga Oelkers was again able to win the fencing championship of the DTB, 1932, she also won the championship in the DFB. After the German foil team with Hedwig hatred, Henni Recently, Olga Oelkers and Leni Oslob 1934, the Silver Medal and 1935 the bronze medal at the international championships came together, she won the title in 1936.
