Olga Wisinger-Florian

Olga Wisinger - Florian ( born November 1, 1844 in Vienna, † February 27, 1926 in Grafenegg ) was an Austrian painter of Impressionism. Her work form landscape and flower images.

Life

In her youth Wisinger - Florian studied under Julius Epstein piano and worked for several years as a concert pianist before she had in 1874 because of health problems cancel this career with one hand. Then she began to be active as a painter and studied as such in Melchior Fritsch and from 1879 in August Schaeffer of Vienna Forest.

In 1880 she was a student of Emil Jakob Schindler, with whom she made ​​several study trips and they greatly influenced in his way of presenting landscapes, the mood impressionism. The following year, the first solo exhibition of the artist at the Vienna Künstlerhaus took place later paintings were also exhibited several times by her in the Vienna Secession.
