History

Olswang was founded in 1981 by Simon Olswang and Mark Devereux, the current senior partner of the firm, based in London. The firm has initially focused advise film and media company, offered its clients but from the start " full-service ", that is in addition to media and license legal advice and financing and tax law as well as general contract and corporate law.

During the 1990s, Olswang grew strong and expanded its consulting fields to real estate law, litigation and corporate law and thus became an active in the full scope of commercial law firm. Olswang in Germany was founded in Berlin in 2007, a second office with a specialist IP law team opened 2011 in Munich.
