Oluf Gerhard Tychsen

Oluf Gerhard Tychsen ( born December 14, 1734 Tønder, † December 30, 1815 in Rostock ) was a German orientalist and librarian.

Tychsen studied at the University of Halle. Upon successful completion, he worked in Hall as a teacher at the orphanage of the Francke Foundations. 1763 took Tychsen a reputation as a professor of Oriental languages ​​at the University of Biitzow and remained so until 1789.
