Omar Jasseh

Omar Jasseh (born 1 November 1992 Banjul) is a Gambian footballer who is without a club since July 2011.

Career

Association

Omar Jasseh began with twelve years in his native Gambia to play with the football. There he played for the Maccassa FC and FC Samgar. In 2006 he came to England, where he went through three different youth academies in three years. He first played for Charlton Athletic, 2007, we moved to Chelsea and in 2008 he coached at Crystal Palace. In 2009 he emigrated to the United States, but came to Toronto FC to Canada, where he mittrainierte 2009.

Signed on 14 April 2010, at seventeen years with the team from Major League Soccer, with the San Jose Earthquakes his first professional contract. He became the youngest player who stood respectively at Earthquakes under contract. Ten days later, he played in the 2:3 defeat against CD Chivas USA his league debut when he came on in the 62nd minute for Joey Gjertsen. However Jasseh got there only five betting odds in the league and therefore the contract was terminated by both sides reportedly in July 2011.

At the beginning of 2012, he completed an unsuccessful trial at Degerfors IF, instead he moved to Mjölby Södra IF. After half a year in Mjölby he trained with Åtvidabergs FF, but even there he could not get a contract offer.

In February 2013 he completed a trial with Werder Bremen.

National

Jasseh completed as part of the U-20 African Cup of Nations 2011 qualifiers four matches, two against Sierra Leone and two against the Ivory Coast for the Gambian U-20 national team. However, the team could not qualify for the tournament and was eliminated in the final qualifying round against Ivory Coast from the competition.
