Ona Juknevičienė

Ona Juknevičienė ( born April 28, 1955 in Dusmenėliai in Trakai ) is a Lithuanian politician. Juknevičienė is a member of the European Parliament and member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe since 2004.

1958 moved Juknevičienė family to Vilnius. Juknevičienė closed in 1973, the education and studied at Vilnius University economics. Juknevičienė graduated in 1981 with a degree in economics and his doctorate in 1993 for a Doctor of Economics. It was between 1985 and 1990 Senior Lecturer at the School of Administration and 1994-1995 Lecturer in Economics at the University of Vilnius. They then moved to the Agency for Enterprise Restructuring " Consulta ", where she held the position of Director-General between 1995 and 1998. As a result Juknevičienė was 1998-2000 Senior Adviser of the technical assistance project " institution building, restructuring and privatization " of the World Bank in Uzbekistan (1998-2000 ) and from 2001 to 2004 Senior Advisor of the technical assistance project "Restructuring and privatization of enterprises " the World Bank in Serbia.

Juknevičienė belonged from 1997 to 2000 the Liberal Union and from 2003 was a member of the Darbo partija. After the Darbo partija had voted in February 2008 for a nuclear power law, that the creation of a " national utility " and in the course of providing for its extremely favorable for the private power company VST conditions Juknevičienė resigned from the party. In the European elections in 2009, she joined as a top candidate of the Centre Party and helped the faction to 3.1 % of the valid votes.

Ona Juknevičienė is married in second marriage with Thierry Bodard and has two grown daughters, Rūta and Simona.
