Only Fools and Horses

Only Fools and Horses is a sitcom that was produced by the BBC and aired 1981-1991. With additional Christmas episodes (1991-1993, 1996, 2001-2003), there are 63 episodes. In the survey conducted by the BBC in 2004, she was elected before Blackadder the most popular British sitcom of all time.

The episode " Time On Our Hands " (1996) holds 24.3 million viewers, a record for the highest rated sitcom in the UK. Thus it can certainly be described as a street sweeper.

Action

The series is set in Peckham in south London; the main characters are Derek " Del Boy " Trotter (David Jason ), a typical cockney market trader, his younger brother Rodney ( Nicholas Lyndhurst ), and their grandfather " Grandad " ( Lennard Pearce ). The plot often revolves around the unsuccessful attempts of the Trotters to become as rich as possible with all kinds of crooked shops as quickly as possible. They operate their businesses from a three-wheeled Reliant Regal Supervan III.

International versions

Only Fools and Horses was sold, among others, Australia, Belgium, Bosnia, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Croatia, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Pakistan, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain and Cyprus. Three countries have produced their own versions, first in the Netherlands, under the title schuift't Wat? ( What's it worth? ). The second country was Portugal with O Fura- Vidas, and finally Slovenia; there was the Brat Bratu series.
