Opprobrium (band)

Opprobrium is a Death-/Thrash-Metal-Band from Metairie, Louisiana (USA). It was founded in 1986 under the name Incubus.

Band History

The band was founded in 1986 by brothers Francis and Moyses M. Howard M. Howard under the name " Incubus ". After a demo, the band signed a contract with Brutal Records. There Incubus released their debut album, after they switched to Nuclear Blast, then where their second album.

The band took a break of eight years before we decided to move on. However, in the meantime, a crossover band had acquired the name of Incubus. Since the band shunned the financial cost to sue their behalf against commercially successful crossover band, the name was changed in 1999 opprobrium (shame, shame ) to. In 2000, the band released their third album, which was recorded in Rio de Janeiro. In 2009 the album " Mandatory Evac ", which is sold by Metal Mind Productions released. This album was produced by the brothers themselves. In the same year, on 21 July 2009 gave the band announced that original bassist Scot W. Latour would return to the band after 20 years. Currently the band is working on new material.
