Oracle Forms

Oracle Forms is a development tool by Oracle and allows WYSIWYG creation and programming of database -based, interactive dialogue masks. In addition to the Oracle database, various other SQL databases are supported; the programming is done in PL / SQL or Java (imported Java classes ). Forms was repeatedly revised since the first appearance of the end of 1980. In the current version 11, the web-based 3 -tier architecture is solely supported. For productive operation of Forms applications, the Oracle WebLogic Server requirement ( in earlier versions of Forms this was the Oracle Application Server). Some products of Oracle Applications product family use Forms for the realization of the dialog screens. Although Oracle offers another development tool with JDeveloper, the software maker has pledged to continue to support Oracle Forms and develop long-term.
