Order of Saint Isabel

The Order of Saint Isabella, port. Ordem Real de Santa Isabel, was a Portuguese lady north and was on November 4, 1801 by the Prince Regent João VI. donated by Portugal. The statutes were revised on April 25, 1804 by Carlota Joaquina his wife.

Order decoration

An oval gold locket with entwined floral wreath is surmounted by a golden crown. On one side of a laurel wreath framed the image of the Holy Order of Isabella and including the foreign exchange Pauperum solatio ( As a consolation, the poor). On the back, the year MDCCCI and the initials of the Princess Carlota LC to see with the transcription Real Orden de Santa Isabel.

Ribbon and carrying method

A rose red ribbon with two white stripes was placed over the right shoulder to the left hip as a sash. The order could also be worn on the ribbon on the left chest.
