Order of the Eagle of Este

The Order of the Eagle of Este was founded on December 27, 1855 by Duke Francis V of Modena as civil and military merit in three classes. With the founding of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861 went out of order.

Order decoration

The religious character is an eight-pointed white enameled goldgerändertes Maltese cross, the points of which is studded with small golden beads. Between the cross angles are ornaments. For civil merits a green wreath of oak and for military merit trophies mounted between the cross and suspension ring.

The ribbon is white with two blue stripes board.
