Orelle

Orelle is a commune with 371 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Savoie in the Rhone -Alpes. It is located in the canton of Saint -Michel- de -Maurienne and is owned by the community association Communauté de communes Maurienne Galibier on.

Orelle lies on the River Arc. The highest point of the municipality is the Pointe du Bouchet ( 3420 m).

From Orelle ( 800 m) can be seen in the ski resort of Val Thorens / Les Trois Vallées with a 20 -minute cable car ride (3 Vallées Express) via Refuge du Plan Bouchet ( 2350) and continued with a chairlift over the Breche de Rosael Pass ( 3000 m) reach.
