Orit Noked

Orit Noked (Hebrew אורית נוקד, born October 25, 1952 in Jerusalem, Israel) is an Israeli politician and Knesset member.

Biography

Noked studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Afterwards she worked as a legal advisor for the kibbutz movement from 1985 to 1992. From 1996 to 2002 she was the head of the legal department for this movement. In addition, she worked for the Jewish National Fund and the Israeli Land Administration Authority.

After the Israeli elections of 1996 she moved for the Avoda party in the Knesset. In the 16th Parliament or the 30.Regierungskabinett Noked was dated January 11, 2005 to November 23, 2005 Deputy Minister Deputy Prime Minister. Subsequently, she was from 1 April 2009 to 19 January 2011 in the 18th legislative period, or the 32th Government Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade and is since January 19, 2011 Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
