Orkun Usak (2014)
Orkun Usak ( born November 5, 1980 in Istanbul) is a Turkish football goalkeeper.
Sporting career
Club football
Usak began his career with the youth team of Galatasaray, where he worked until the age of 19. His first transfer took place in 1999 and he went to the Istanbul club Beykozspor. Until the 2002/03 season Usak played for Beykozspor, Bakirköyspor and Üsküdar Anadolu. His first game in the Turkish Süper Lig he made in the 2002/03 season for the then first division Elazığspor. Despite his lack of experience as a professional footballer Orkun came at the end of the season to 15 games. 2003 left Orkun Usak Elazığspor and moved to MKE Ankaragucu. Until the winter break of the season 2006/ 07 Orkun worked there. During this time, Usak played 56 games. His new club called Kayseri Erciyesspor. Kayseri Erciyesspor stuck right in the relegation battle, despite his good performance (16 games and only 10 goals against) Kayseri dismounted in the second division. Galatasaray was satisfied with the performance of the former youth player and signed him as a successor to the changing after Germany goalkeeper Faryd Mondragón. In the second half of the 2007/08 season he lost his place to Aykut Erçetin. In summer 2009, he joined Manisaspor. In Manisaspor he came into the first round to four inserts in the winter break changed Orkun free transfer to Konyaspor.
After the descent Konyaspors in the TFF 1 Lig Orkun left the club and signed up to the first division Karabükspor. Here he not made the breakthrough to the goalkeeper, so he moved to the winter break for league rivals Antalyaspor.
Even after a half season he also left Antalyaspor and went to league rivals Mersin İdman Yurdu. Also at Mersin IY he only stayed one season and moved to the summer of 2013 within the league for Erstligaabsteiger Orduspor. The change to Orduspor came later but not reached, so Usak early July of 2013 with the second division Adana Demirspor signed a two -year contract. Even before the start of the season, his contract was dissolved with Demirspor again.
After Usak was left without a club for the first half of the 2013/14 season, he signed on for the second half at second division Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor.
National
Orkun Usak was nominated nine times for Turkey and made his first and only international match in a friendly match against the Macedonian national team. He was nominated including the twice from Turkey coach Fatih Terim as a substitute goalkeeper for the European Championship qualifiers against Denmark and Ukraine in 2006.
