Orléans Loiret, also known as the " Entente Orléanaise " is a French basketball club from Orléans, the capital of the Loiret region. The club was founded in 1993, as have three unterklassige clubs, Orléans, Fleury- les- Aubrais and Saint -Jean -de- Braye together.

History

The club began in 1993 in the National League 2 ( amateur league). In 1999, the rise in the National League 1 and 2002, the rise in the professional sector, the League Pro B. After the championship in the Pro B 2006, the club rose to the highest French Pro A league. In addition Orléans reached the final of the French Cup. After a few start-up years, the newcomer established in the top league in 2009 and reached the final of the ProA League, which was lost to ASVEL. This success enabled the club to participate in the qualification for the Euro League. In the qualification to Orléans succeeded against Spirou and Benetton, but landed in the regular season in 6th place in its group. In the same 2009/10 season Orléans wins the French Cup in his first title. After 2010, some changes have taken place among the sponsors, the club changed its name from " Entente Orléanaise " to " Orléans Loiret Basket".
