Ormenio

Ormenio (Greek Ορμένιο (n. sg. ), Bulgarian Tschernomen Черномен ) is a Greek village in the municipality of Trigono the community Orestiada in the extreme northeast of the country. The village is located around 2 km from the river Evros and the Bulgarian- Greek border crossing Kapitan Petko Wojwoda - Ormenio.

Near Ormenio took place in 1371, the Battle of Maritsa in which a Bulgarian- Serbian army was defeated by the Ottomans.
