Orphei Drängar

Orphei Drängar, or more usually called OD ( Sångsällskapet Orphei Drängar ), is a Swedish male chorus. Orphei Drängar was founded in December 1853 at the environment of the University of Uppsala. The choir gives several concerts a year, and since 1962 the Caprice in the University Aula. The choir has performed in approximately 30 countries, in Germany for the first time in 1892.

Since 2008, the ensemble by Cecilia Rydinger Alin is headed. Full-time, she is responsible for the training of orchestra conductor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she works as a professor. Cecilia Rydinger Alin is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
