Economy
The population lives mainly from agriculture and animal husbandry.

The administrative center is the city of Ortiz.

- San Lorenzo de Tiznados
Traffic
The National Highway 2 connects San Juan de los Morros and Para Para with Ortiz and this village with Calabozo.
