Þórunn Sveinbjarnardóttir

Þórunn Sveinbjarnardóttir ( born November 22, 1965 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician (Alliance). From 1999 to 2013 she was Member of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing. From 2007 to 2009 she was Minister of the Environment. Her successor in that office was Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir.

Previously, she studied at the University of Iceland and at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS ), Bologna Center in Bologna.

She has a daughter ( born in 1982 ).
