Osamu Fujimura

Osamu Fujimura (藤 村 修Japanese, Osamu Fujimura, born November 3, 1949 in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture) is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party ( Noda group). He was until 2012 Chief Cabinet Secretary in the Cabinet Noda and deputy in Shūgiin, the lower house of the national parliament, for the 7th electoral district of Osaka Prefecture.

Fujimura, a graduate of the faculty of engineering at the University of Hiroshima, worked after graduating for the Foundation kōtsūiji ikueikai (交通 遗 児 育 英 会, "Education Society of traffic orphans" ), and later for the Ashinaga ikueikei, another foundation that works for orphans. In 1993 Shūgiin - election, he moved into politics when he ran for the New Japan Party in the former fünfmandatigen constituency Osaka 3 and was elected with the highest vote share. In the Parteiumbildungen 1990s, he initially was part of the New Progressive Party, for which he was in 1996 re-elected in the new single constituency Osaka 7, he was from 1997 a member of the Kokumin no Koe ( " voice of the people " ), the Minseitō and finally the Democratic party.

In the 2005 election Shūgiin Noda lost his constituency to Naomi Tokashiki (LDP ) and was re-elected on the proportional representation block Kinki. In the Democratic Party, he was in 2006 and 2009 Member of the Shadow Cabinet and Deputy Secretary-General ( kanjichō - dairi ). In the Democratic landslide victory in 2009, he could regain his constituency and was then Chairman of the Shūgiin Committee on Health, Labour and Welfare. In 2010 he was among the first Cabinet Secretary Kan ( fuku - daijin ) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, before appointed as Chefkabinettsskeretär Naoto Kan's successor to 2011 it Yoshihiko Noda in September 2011 in his cabinet.

In the 2012 election Shūgiin Fujimura received only about 45,500 constituency votes (21.5%) and landed so only in third place behind Naomi Tokashiki and the Ishin candidate Sayuri Uenishi. He missed thus a proportional representation mandate and as seven other current Minister elected from the parliament in the Cabinet Noda.
