Óscar Boniek García

Óscar García Ramírez Boniek ( born September 4, 1984 in Tegucigalpa ) is a Honduran football player. The national team is with CD Olimpia under contract.

Career

García's football career began in the domestic league for CD Olimpia. Through its strong performances at Olimpia he secured a place in the fast Honduran selection, in which he in the match against Canada debuted in 2005 and for which he has now denied more than 40 games.

His strong performances at club level and in the national aroused the interest of Paris Saint- Germain and Wigan Athletic, but where the right-sided midfielder in tryouts could not sufficiently recommend and again had to return to Olimpia.

Although he had to undergo until shortly before the tournament due to a groin hernia surgery, he is in the squad for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

He was awarded by his father because his father is a fan of the Polish striker Zbigniew Boniek his middle name.
