The St. Anthony's source is the best known source of the eye and is sometimes referred to simply as Ösequelle.

The eyelet, also written Oese, is a 13.4 km long tributary of the Nethe in a circle Hoexter, North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany

Geography

The eye rises about 1 km north-east of Neuenheerse in a valley section of the eastern Eggegebirge at an altitude of 302 m above sea level. NN. First, to the southeast of the creek flowing down happens Dringenberg, then turns its course to the east, flows through Gehrden and Siddessen and münded on the eastern outskirts of the village at 149 m above sea level. On its 13.4 km long road eyelet overcomes a difference in altitude of 153 m. This corresponds to an average bed slope of 11.4 ‰. The eye drains a 40.648 km ² large catchment area on Nethe and Weser to the North Sea.

Tributaries

The most important tributary of the eye is the 5.1 km long Tiefentalgraben. With its 9.036 km ² large catchment area it has a share of 22 % of the eyelet. More prolonged tributaries are the 3.7 km long and 2.8 km long Bittertalbach Breitenkamp Bach.

Watershed

The catchment area of the eye reaches to the middle mountain in the main crest of the Eggegebirge. About this runs a section of the Rhine -Weser watershed. West of the watershed springing rivers flow to the Rhine, the springing east flow to the Weser.
