Oshkosh All-Stars

The Oshkosh All-Stars were a basketball team of the American professional basketball league NBL. The team from Oshkosh wore its home games in nearby gyms of schools. The team was from its inception until the dissolution in 1949 of the sports journalists of the Oshkosh Daily Northwestern, Arthur Heywood and Lou Darling, trained and managed.

Team History

Prior to founding NBL team was independent, played in several amateur tournaments, and in 1930 with the neuverpflichteten college Stars Bud Foster and Branch McCracken champion of the Midwest, after the team had won against the Chicago Majestic with 30-23. In 1937, joined the team of the NBL, reaching five consecutive times from 1938 to 1942, the finals of the NBL. In the years 1941 and 1942, they were able to win the NBL after they could win against the Sheboygan Red Skins and 1942 against the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons in 1941. During the twelve years of the league, the team was also six times the best team in the division. The team also participated in nine out of ten sweeps of the World Professional Basketball Tournaments and won the tournament in 1942.
