The Eastern Karwendelspitze is 2537m above sea level. A. high mountain from Wettersteinkalk in the Karwendel on the border between Bavaria and Tyrol. He is the highest mountain in the Northern Karwendel range and also the highest German peak in the Karwendel. The first ascent was made by Hermann von Barth on 4 July 1870.

The summit is in a partially roadless and alpine experience presupposing hike in 2.5 hours from Karwendelhaus (1771 m above sea level. A. ) reachable. The climb follows a grass and Schrofenrücken east of Vogelkars, just below the summit, a climbing spot in the first UIAA level must be overcome. We recommend a more demanding descent over the Grabenkar through steep rock and scree terrain (I) with a fast debris exit ( the rise to troublesome ). The Karwendelhaus in turn can be reached either by Scharnitz or Hinterriß on local maple floor. Because of the long valley walk to Karwendelhaus instead of a 10.5 -hour day trip, a two day tour more meaningful.

The Eastern Karwendelspitze is also often climbed in the spring by the Grabenkar skis. In winter, because of the high avalanche danger and the long way not usually possible.
