Sanctuary

On a no longer existing flow loop of Mogielanka near the resort each place of sacrifice, was found on both banks. It is currently the only place of sacrifice with fixed equipment which has been fully investigated. Initially (1954 ) was believed to have a pile settlement found. Meanwhile, the place is considered holy water. There were to be found on both sides of the water body fixed access, paved with rust or constructions of wood. Many bones, but no human bones were found. On the right bank the bones were fragmented, often burned, which is interpreted as a sign for meals. On the right bank, three fireplaces were in a row, which were surrounded by a thick layer of ash and shards of shattered pottery. Nearby, two wooden benches had been standing.

But in other places, especially on the left bank, only skulls and limbs and also a Wagenradteil were found.

Among the bones were those of cattle most frequently ( 41% ), then came wild birds ( 20% ), followed by sheep / goat with about 16 %, red deer ( about 12 %), pork ( 8% ) and horse ( to 3%).

Apparently the banks was the right celebrated and sacrificed on the left bank.

Currently, the place is dated to the 4th -6th centuries. However, pollen analyzes are pending.
