Othello (Manga)

Othello (Japaneseオセロ) is a manga by Satomi Ikezawa. He is assigned to the shōjo genre and is aimed at young people.

Publication

The manga was first published in 2001 in the Japanese manga magazine Bessatsu Friend, which is published monthly by Kodansha publishing house. When the series 2004 financial statements, the story took seven paperbacks.

In Germany Othello was first published in the magazine Manga Power, but received by Egmont Manga and Anime also an implementation in anthologies.

Content

The 16 -year-old Yaya feels expelled in school, is always teased and does not have enough self-confidence to put up a fight. At home, she must obey her strict father, who allowed her only the essentials. And as their favorite rock band Juliet dissolves, world falls apart for them.

However, if the shy girl in a mirror, awakens her true self, the strong and self-confident Nana. Nana is the opposite of Yaya, at school and at Seri and Moe they no longer plays the introverted girl before. It also meets with people of whom she knows only the first name and her greatest passion, the band Juliet share. In this anonymity among like-minded Nana feels good, because only there they can escape their boring and painful everyday life.
