Otros Aires

Otros Aires, who refer to themselves as an audiovisual, influenced by the Mestizo music, retro avant-garde project, is a Spanish- Argentine group, which is attributed to the electro tango. She was known especially by the combination of sampling classical recordings from the early days of Tango Argentino with modern styles and instruments.

History

Otros Aires was founded in 2003 by musician and architect Miguel Di Genova (vocals, guitar, sampling, and videos) original, Toni Cupedo (bass) and Josep Lluis Guart ( piano and keyboards ) was founded. The trio made ​​its first appearance in December 2003 in Barcelona and began from this time to get acquainted with performances in the clubs of the Catalan capital.

Mid-2004 Di Genova returned to Argentina and took Hugo Satorre ( bandoneon ), Pablo Lasala (piano and keyboards) and Emmanuel Mayol ( drums and percussion ) a first CD entitled Otros Aires. The CD was presented on 11 December 2004, the birthday of Carlos Gardel in Gardelmuseum the public. It connected by means of sampling recordings from the early days of Tango Argentino by singers like Carlos Gardel and orchestra conductors such as Juan D'Arienzo with electronic sequences, rhythms, melodies and lyrics of the 21st century.

The next two years the band had numerous appearances in Argentina and subsequently toured Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Poland and Chile. After Satorre Lasala and had been replaced by Omar Massa on bandoneon and Diego Ramos at the piano, the band recorded their second album dos with the new line.

2008 under the title Vivo en Otros Aires is a live album was released. In 2009, a tour joined by the United States.

2010 studio album appeared again under the title Tricota. On drums Martin Bruhn had been replaced Manu Mayol. Complements the tape is here of the Orquesta Típica Los Reyes del Tango.
