Otto Frommknecht

Otto Frommknecht ( born November 17, 1881 in Green Brook, Allgaeu, † August 16, 1969 ) was a German politician and Bavarian State Minister of Transport ( 1947-1950 ).

After high school he studied at the Technical University in Munich. Since 1901 he was a member of the Catholic Student Association KDSt.V. Vindelicia Munich. From 1909 he worked as a civil engineering expert at the Royal Bavarian State Railways (later German Reichsbahn ). From 1919 to 1933 he was a member of the Bavarian People's Party. For political reasons, a year was arrested. By the end of the war he worked in the private sector. In 1945 Otto Frommknecht was appointed as head of department in the railway department in Munich, where he last held the office of department president.
