Otto Staiger

Otto Staiger (born 3 September 1894 in Basel, † September 5, 1967 ) was a Swiss painter and glass artist. He dedicated his work to the watercolor and woodcut.

Life

In 1911, he made ​​glass painting in Basel. 1919 to 1922 he worked in Geneva with the painter Hans Stocker, there he turned away from the traditional dark-toned painting. In 1922 he moved to Besazio in Ticino. In 1925 he joined the group of red-blue, which also included Paul Camenisch, Albert Müller and Hermann Scherer. 1926-29 he led the glass window at the newly built church of St. Anthony in Basle with Hans Stocker.
