Oudenbosch Basilica

The Basilica of St. Agatha and Barbara is a Roman Catholic basilica in the Dutch town of Oudenbosch in North Brabant. It was created by the architect Pierre Cuypers and GJ van Swaay than 4 -fold reduced copy of St. Peter's Basilica built with the front of the Lateran Basilica.

History

The construction was carried out on the initiative of Willem Hellemons, which was 1842-1884 pastor of the church, inspired by his long stay in Rome.

The church was built in 1912 increased by Pope Pius X as the second Dutch church to basilica minor.

Construction and Equipment
