Ove Fundin

Ove Fundin (* May 23, 1933 in Tranås, Sweden ) is a former Swedish speedway rider. He is a five-time individual and team - six-time World Champion in Speedway. He also won a pair of World Champion title.

He began his career in 1951 in the Swedish speedway league. In 1961 he was awarded the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal - than Swedish Sportsman of the Year. In 1970, he finished his career. He is considered by many experts as the best speedway rider of all time. In his honor, the Cup of the World Team Championship Ove Fundin Trophy was baptized.
