Over (Seevetal)

Over is a place of community Seevetal in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony with about 1376 inhabitants, of which 68 secondary residence (as at 30 June 2012).

Location

The town lies in the northeast of Seevetal on the Elbe. In Over the Seeve flows into the Elbe. Northwest of Over is Bullenhausen, in the east above the river Elbe is Fünfhausen and in the southwest is the place Rosenweide.

History

With the Greater Hamburg Act Over 1937 lost his right to the same commune in part over hook.

Over was banded together with 18 other municipalities on 1 July 1972 Seevetal community.

Attractions

• The Lower Seeveniederung between Hörsten and Over is a nature reserve. On Over area is the waters Over Brack. Here are also several very large white willow and some ancient hawthorn hedges.
• Indoor swimming pool

In the village there is also a cemetery chapel, which belongs to the parish Meckelfeld.
