Ramelsloh is a town in the municipality in the district of Harburg, in Lower Saxony Seevetal about 30 km south of Hamburg in the northern Lüneburg heath and has 1746 inhabitants, of which 77 secondary residence.

History

Since 1 July 1972 Ramelsloh belongs to the municipality Seevetal.

In 1987 one was erected " a pretended supply depot " for the Dutch NATO forces in Ramelsloh. The Ramelsloher peace initiative managed by the purchase of land to prevent a planned fuel storage. The peace initiative concluded, inter alia, Michael Gorbachev and Nobel laureate George Wald on.

Traffic

Ramelsloh is junction of the A7 motorway between Hamburg and Hanover.
