Action

The MGM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Johnny Green plays the overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor by Otto Nicolai. The concert will take place in the Concert Hall of MGM against red background. The musicians sit down, tune their instruments and start playing. In the end, conductor Johnny Green bows to the audience.

Production

The film was realized in color and Cinemascope. There is no classical bias. Instead, a narrator presents the people involved in the film and introduces the orchestra and the piece. The film was first shown in December 1953 in Hollywood.
