Owen Dolan

Owen John Dolan ( born September 30, 1928 in Hawera ) is a retired Coadjutor Bishop of Palmerston North.

Life

The Archbishop of Wellington, Thomas Peter McKeefry, Dolan consecrated on 21 July 1954 to the priest, and this was incardinated into the clergy of the Archdiocese of Wellington. Pope John Paul II appointed him on November 2, 1995 on the Coadjutor Bishop of Palmerston North.

The Bishop of Palmerston North Peter James Cullinane gave him on 10 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Thomas Stafford Williams, Cardinal, Archbishop of Wellington, and Denis George Browne, Bishop of Auckland.

30 September 2004 John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
