Ox gall

When ox bile (or ox bile, Fel Tauri ) is either a green yellowish powder or a liquid in this color. It is obtained from the bile of bovines. It serves as a wetting agent that increases the flow of ink on paper or parchment problematic and contributes to the degreasing of substrates. As it is used as a cleaning or ink removal means, for example in the form of the enzyme prewash.

It will also occasionally administered in jaundice, gallstones, inadequate bile secretion and diabetes. Ox bile is intended to increase the bile deposition, the intestinal absorption and intestinal movement. In the GDR, ox bile was used for the production of beer. In Australia, ox bile is used as a liquid intramuscularly administered poison against the crown of thorns starfish, to protect the Great Barrier Reef.
