Oxylipins are a group of substances, the oxidation products of polyunsaturated fatty acids with oxygen and of these primary oxidation products includes substances derived. Oxylipins have frequently intra-or intercellular signaling functions in plants, animals and microorganisms. In particular, in plant oxylipins play a major role as signals in developmental processes, stress responses, and pathogen defense, so the plant hormone jasmonic acid to one of this class.
