Özdere

Özdere is a Turkish city in the province of Izmir on the Aegean Sea on the south coast of the Çeşme peninsula.

Özdere has about 13,500 inhabitants (2006) and is located about 38 kilometers west of Kusadasi and 40 km south of Izmir. Her former name until 1965 was Kesri. Since 2008 Özdere is not an independent city more, but a Mahalle of the district Menderes.

Tourism

The resort has now grown together with Ürkmez and Gümüldür and is increasingly becoming a popular destination for tourists. He is known for his numerous holiday homes along the coast. Özdere is an emerging tourist place with good infrastructure and all year round mild climate.
