Pablo Cavallero

Pablo Oscar Cavallero ( born April 13, 1974 in Lomas de Zamora ) is a former Argentine football goalkeeper.

Career

Association

From 1995 to 1998 Cavallero was standing by the Argentine club Velez Sarsfield in the door and then went on loan for a year to Unión de Santa Fe before moving to Spain to Celta Vigo in the Primera División joined in July 2000. There he received during the 2002/2003 season with only 27 goals conceded in 34 games, the Trofeo Zamora as the best goalkeeper in the league. With Celta Vigo he got then a year later in the Segunda Division from and left the club in 2005 to sign a contract with Levante UD. In 2008 he moved again for a year to Uruguay to CA Peñarol.

National

Cavallero was from 1998 to 2004 for the Albiceleste at the gate until he was ousted by Roberto Abbondanzieri. In 1996 he won with the Argentine team silver at the Olympic football tournament. He participated with the Argentine national team at the World Championships in 1998 and 2002. While he was no use in 1998, he stood in 2002 at the Vorrundenaus in all three matches on the court. Between 1996 and 2006, Cavallero came to a total of 26 national missions.
