Paimon

Paimon (also Paymon or Paimonia ) is in the demonology of the kings of hell and is mentioned in various grimoires.

According to the Pseudomonarchia daemonum of 1577 it is more than other kings Lucifer obedient; the book describes him sitting on a dromedary, a magnificent crown -supporting and provided with effeminate facial features (he sitteth on a beast called a dromedarie, Which is a swift runner, and weareth a glorious crowne, and hath to effeminate countenance ). He is preceded by a number of men with " trumpets and well sounding Cymbals, and all musical instruments ." During his appearance, he speaks initially with roaring voice. If a necromancer summons him, it should look to the northwest, because there is the house of the Paimon; when he is summoned alone and by an offering, appear after him two BWA kings named Beball and Abalam (if Paimon be cited alone by an offering or sacrifice, two kings followe him, to wit, Beball & Abalam ). Under him are further 200 legions, with a portion of the Order of angels belongs to the other, however, consists of " rulers " or " rulers " ( There follow him two hundred legions, partlie of the order of angels, and partlie of potentates ).

In the brief entry in the Dictionnaire Infernal 19th century the same appearance is also described, mentioned the accompaniment of Bébal and Abalam as well as the two-part Legion.

In the Ars Goetia, he is the ninth spirit; again are peculiarities mentioned as the sounding trumpets and cymbals, but this time played by a band of spirits who like men appear with instruments ( There goeth before him so to Host of Spirits, like Men with Trumpets and well sounding cymbals ), the roaring voice on his arrival, and 200 legions of angels or " potentate ". The accompanying kings are mentioned here Labal and Abali.
