Dictionnaire Infernal

The Dictionnaire Infernal ( German about, Dictionary of hell ') is a book of demonology, organized in hellish hierarchies. It was written by the occultist Jacques Albin Simon Collin de Plancy and first published in 1818. There were several editions of the book, but the most famous is that of 1863, in the 69 illustrations have been added. These pictures are drawings which try to depict the descriptions of the appearance of the different demons. Many of these pictures were later in SL MacGregor Mathers ' edition of The Lesser Key of Solomon ( Clavicula of Solomon; , little key of Solomon ' ) is used, although some of the images have been removed.

The book was divided after its first publication in two volumes, with six reprints and many changes 1818-1863. The book attempts a representation of all the knowledge about superstition and demonology to offer.
