Paisley is a small city in Lake County in the U.S. state of Oregon. Paisley is located 1,330 m above sea level and has about 260 inhabitants. The site of the excavations at the Paisley Caves in the vicinity became known.

More than 10,000 years people lived here already. Evidence is archaeological findings in caves and rock paintings. Here settled the Northern Paiute Indian tribes, Modoc and Klamath. The Klamath Indians gave the river that flows through Paisley, the name Chewaucan ( German: Small potato).

1843 John C. Fremont was traveling as a cartographer for the Army with his trek on the Oregon Trail. Through him names for geographical features in the area of Paisley were awarded such as the Summer Lake.

In the early 1870s, settlers reached the area Chewaucan, which today is called Paisley. 1875 Lake County has its own county.

Since 1984, takes place annually on the last weekend in July, the Paisley Mosquito Festival with mountain biking and horse racing as well as handicrafts and art exhibitions. In Paisley is a historical western saloon.
