Paksong

Pakxong (also Paksong; Lao: ປາກ ຊ່ອງ, " mouth of the Xong River " ) is a city in the Lao province of Champasak on the National Road 8 and the largest town in the Bolaven Plateau, which lies mainly in Champasak.

During the Second Indochina War, the city was completely destroyed in air raids of the U.S. Army.

Pakxong is considered the center of the Lao coffee production.
