Palace of los Condes de Gómara

The Palacio de los Condes de Gómara is a palace in Soria, the capital of the province of Soria in the autonomous community of Castile and León, which was built in the 16th century. The Palace is a listed building ( Bien de Interès Cultural ).

History and Description

The palace was built from 1577 to 1592 for the Count Francisco López de Río y Salcedo. The Renaissance is the most important secular building in the city of Soria. It has a facade made of stone blocks and a tower. The galleries of the patio will be supported by arches on columns.

The magnificent portal is flanked by two double columns. In the coat of arms of the builder is attached, that is held by two warriors in Roman clothing.
