Palace of Peace and Reconciliation

The Pyramid of Peace and harmony is a 77 -meter high structure in the Kazakh capital Astana. The pyramidal structure was designed between 2004 and 2006, including the British architectural firm Foster Partners.

In 2003, the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave the order to build the pyramid as the venue of the " Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions ". The building is intended to symbolize the different religions in the world. In addition, an opera with 1,500 seats, several educational institutions and a center of various ethnic groups of Kazakhstan are housed here.
