Palaia Epidavros

Palea Epidavros (Greek Παλαιά Επίδαυρος ( f sg ) ) is a small harbor town in the municipality of Epidavros Greece and is about 13 km from the famous Asklepios Epidaurus sanatorium located on the coast of the Saronic Gulf in the landscape Argolis in the Peloponnese.

In ancient times, Palea Epidavros was associated to the sanatorium port city, about the many pilgrims traveled to asclepieion. Today, many tourists use the idyllic village, which seems to be almost encircled by lemon and orange groves, not infrequently than spend the night to visit from here Epidauros.

On the peninsula Nisi, which divides the bay of Palea Epidavros in two halves, significant remains of the ancient settlement can still be seen.
