Palestine Exploration Fund#PEF today

The Palestine Exploration Quarterly ( PEQ ) is one of the oldest journals for research into the Levant and its inhabitants.

The Palestine Exploration Fund, established in 1865, issued since 1869, the Palestine Exploration Fund Quarterly Statement ( PEFQSt ). The goal was the exploration of the " Holy Land ", which was primarily the elucidation of the biblical story (s) and their backgrounds. Since 1937 the journal is published under the present title, " Palestine Exploration Quarterly". Chief Editor is David Jacobson. Contrary to the title of the journal is published only three times a year. It has also been since the founding of the focus of the contributions expanded to all aspects of research into the Levant.
