Pallavolo Parma

Pallavolo Parma was an Italian men's volleyball club based in Parma, who played in the Italian Serie A 1949-2004.

Pallavolo Parma was founded in 1946 as Ferrovieri Parma. After the rise in 1949 in the Serie A1 1950 and 1951 they won the Italian championship. 1954 it merged with CUS Parma. 1969 Parma was again Italian masters. The most successful period was in the 1980s and early 1990s, when they won among the sponsors Santal and Maxicono almost all the titles at the national and international level. Highlights here were the victories in the Champions League in 1984 and 1985 as well as winning the Club World Cup in 1989. 2004, the team was withdrawn for commercial reasons.
